The golf resorts are probably among the least valuable properties because they are not easy to re-sell, they require upkeep, and the state isn't in the business of managing properties used by the public. I think they'd be pretty low on the list.

have a friend who worked on liquidating properties from the s&l crash. there r companies that specialize in shit like this. took over 10 yrs to move all those properties, but we made a fair amount of money. during those 10 yrs they were well run, which is y it worked.

For the land itself than for the golfing. They're invariably in desirable areas, and that so much of the land is already cleared of trees and other obstacles would make them attractive for setting up housing developments, shopping centers or office parks.

I doubt that very many people would turn down the chance to acquire such prime real estate at a government auction.
