https://www.politico.com/news/2024/03/23/brian-schwalb-leonard-leo-investigation-00148385Allies of Leonard Leo have mounted a monthslong offensive against the man investigating the judicial activists network: Washington, D.C., Attorney General Brian Schwalb.
Since news of the probe broke last August, the GOP chairs of powerful congressional committees launched their own investigation of Schwalbs investigation; conservative media wrote articles criticizing Schwalb on unrelated crime issues based on a social media post from a top Leo lieutenant; and a group of his Republican law enforcement peers sent letters warning Schwalb to stand down.
Leo is the Federalist Society co-chair who has been called former President Donald Trumps court whisperer for helping to choose and advocate for his Supreme Court nominees. His aligned network of tax-exempt nonprofits is also a major contributor to Project 2025, an initiative seeking to create a government in waiting for another Trump term.
The white-hot pressure campaign targeting Schwalb attests to the growing range of Leos influence. Beyond its work in promoting the conservative legal movement, his billion-dollar network of nonprofits has funded conservative media, Republican attorneys general and the campaign funds of leading congressional figures.

Excerpt...
Leo is primarily known for his extreme right-wing views and his effective mobilization of right-wing money sources to impact the court in recent decades. Former Attorney General Edwin Meese stated, "He has contact with literally dozens, maybe even hundreds, of people throughout the country who are very knowledgeable about the federal judiciary."[3] As the executive vice president of the Federalist Society, Leo was instrumental in the selection and confirmation processes for Supreme Court Justices John Roberts, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch.[4] Following the announcement of Justice Anthony Kennedy's retirement, numerous reports confirmed Leo's active involvement in the search for a replacement (see below).

(6,765 posts)And they are effective. Been getting their way for decades. Unlimited money. Probably the bulk of the election ratfuckery comes from these nazi fucks. Nothing on the horizon to stop them.

(2,051 posts)While they go greasy palm in greasy palm, I would argue, especially in election rat fuckery those SS Generals have been dealing bigger blows than the judiciary to real election fraud and voter suppression under the radar as they don't get nearly the coverage as the federalist judicial rat fucks.

(666 posts)... why the righteous fuck does he have to devote so much time, energy, and treasure to corrupting America and making life even harder for those he cheated and robbed to get so fucking rich in the first place?
All of these billionaires could do so much good with their wealth and still live like kings, but nooooo, they want to build a Randian hellscape and hunt the poor for sport.
Well, it won't be too long now before even the stupidest Trump-humpers are going wake up and say, "Wait just a goddam minute!" And start doing a little hunting of their own. And Lennie, m'boy, I'd put your chances of surviving that canned hunt somewhere between slim and none, and Slim left town.
You're an unspeakably evil man, Leo, and you and your corrupt friends will get what's coming to you.

(13,782 posts)They are also strong in Chile's political, wealthy, and judicial elite, as well as in Peru,
Argentina, and other countries. I have family members involved with them and have been following them for 30 years.
They are dead serious about taking over our government, and others, and they figured out that if they control the judiciary, it's easy to control the government. This is not a conspiracy theory, it is a real conspiracy. That's why they focus on the judiciary.
They are dead serious. 5 of our current Supreme Court justices have ties to Opus Dei. some powerful very wealthy people have ties to Opus Dei. Others just like the plan for control.

(666 posts)... though I'm not surprised. Religious fanaticism and governance never ends well for the governed, who never had a choice in the matter.
Let's hope it doesn't end well for Leo and his psychotic cronies.

(978 posts)It's ridiculous. What do you have to hide? How much are you willing to bet these guys have money outside of the US? By the way, that's rich coming from the side that are saying that targeting Leonard Leo is "politically motivated" when they are doing it all the time.

(978 posts)At this point, I wonder if we should consider the Federalist Society as a threat to the United States. I also think he is getting money from other countries.
