The ones that affect most voters (the ones for the rich don't expire). They are running on this so cut them off at the knees by extending now. Aid to Ukraine. Vote on the senates dead immigration bill.

Make them vote on immigration, tax cuts and Ukraine during the election.

Johnson is on the verge of making deals with the Dems, and MTG is assigned the task of throwing a wrench in the works. This all comes from Trump. Guaranteed.

since if and when the motion is defeated, these absolutely dreadful excuses for human beings will no longer be able to wield it as a threat and thereby become the most powerful members of the House. Which they absolutely are right now.

Johnson's an asshole, but we don't need chaos in the House right now.
An interesting alternative would be for a small group of Republicans to boycott the vote, or even vote with the Democrats, and allow Hakeem Jeffries to be elected speaker.
Anything to send a message to the far right that the House can work without them.

That's the one 100% sure way to make sure no Ukraine aid passes since they can't even use a discharge petition with no Speaker.

... over the fines she got for wearing her mask on the House floor? That was a month ago. It was reported at the time that Speaker Johnson's attorneys had argued AGAINST her to the SC in that case.

I've been waiting ever since to see her call for his ouster in retaliation. She probably won't be citing that as a reason for it, but I'm pretty sure it's a least a part of it.

https://www.wabe.org/supreme-court-rejects-appeal-from-marjorie-taylor-greene-over-500-mask-fine/

Lawyers for House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican, had urged the court to reject the appeal from fellow Republican representatives, though they noted that Johnson and every other member of the Republican leadership voted against the mask policy.

She did not make the motion privileged so it may never be brought up on the floor. The House is recessing for 2 weeks so she can decide whether to pursue it when they come back or not.

This guarantees lots of media appearances for her during the recess which is her biggest win and desire.
