Any media outlet that reports ANY immigration story

And does NOT first point out that, Retrumplicans blocked their own immigration bill so that they can exploit racism and fascism, is guilty of journalistic malpractice.

I would also argue that such media are enabling and supporting racism and fascism.

2. They also need to tell the truth about the impact of immigration

They are feeding into the fear narrative. When the reality is that there is a net benefit. Even in Texas as Maria Hinijosa pointed out with data. Talk about the immigrants feeding America, frankly doing work that many Americans don’t want.

I'm still waiting for some American to tell me that they lost their fruit picking job to an immigrant.

We would be in deep trouble without the immigrants. And it's not just about picking our produce. Nursing homes and memory care homes are often staffed by immigrants. They do critical jobs most of us will not do. My mother-in-law was in a memory care facility. It was immigrants who cared for the residents by watching over them, talking to them, getting to know them, bathing, feeding, and changing their diapers. And they didn't take Sundays off because a book written by men said you're not supposed to work on Sunday.

I knew there was some easier explanation, an explanation that both expiates the owners of the paper and gives the pleasure of othering an ally group.

Thanks! I feel much better now that I know who to really blame!

I other news, sun came up in east, could be a trend. Why does the sun hate the west so much? Conservative members of house committee on solar events recommend impeachment and have begun empaneling sun-specialists to investigate apparent wrongdoing in sunscreen production following rumors that sun is just one star of billions.

I always ask if their sons are going into the lucrative field of fruit picking, drywall installation or chicken processing.

was Walter Cronkite, and he's been dead a long time.

Fun story. My ship, the USS IOWA (BB-61) participated in the New York Fleet Week during the 100TH anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. I was part of the Honor Guard for Saint RAY-Gun when he visited the ship. The Beach Boys played later that night on top of turret 3. We had a Steel Beach Party with tables set up on deck. We got to share a table with Walter Cronkite. He was such a down-to-earth guy. I didn't care that I got to shake hands with Ronnie and Nancy (BTW-up close his make-up made him look like a clown), but I was like a groupie when I called my mom to tell her I met Mr. Cronkite.
