...that my parents have never gotten into cable news. They go in for the local news and then a half hour of Lester Holt or David Muir. Then, it's game shows, HGTV and The First 48.

Should file a class action lawsuit - same as parents are doing for their kids against TikTok.

Anyone with an elderly parent who watched Fox, didn't get the covid jab, and died should seriously sue them.

I'm no lawyer and it's probably not possible but fucking hell I am tired of that company being allowed to lie with impunity.

As a home aide for a caregiving company, I have had several elderly clients who had Fox "News" on and it was unbearable. These clients were terrified and hostile.

Whenever that channel came on, I used that as an excuse to do something in another room. "Oh! The kitchen floor needs to be swept." "Why don't I go scrub the toilet now?" They were none the wiser!!

I swear... some in our party are moving towards the authoritarian right...

Liberals (ACLU) fought for the right of Nazis to march in Skokie... for the "Nazis" to march in Charlottesville

Just a reminder... any government entity that can "ban" Fox News... can also ban MSNBC, CNN and ABC News and shut down DU for whatever reason.

I only see Fox News at Zablocki Veterans Administration Hospital/clinics in Milwaukee. I think that makes me exceptional.

And I don't take -anything- away from those twice yearly visits as truthful without corroboration from non-rightwing sources. I trust very little on the web, and get in trouble with the SO all the time for poking holes in BS I encounter regularly on "news" and "commentary".

Fox had 1.3 million day viewers in Feb and there are over 336,000,000 people in America.
Cable news is on the decline big time. We have lots of Independent podcasters online with thousands of more views than Fox. Except for a million old Republicans, people are getting their news online.
