(20,945 posts)Flour was sold out everywhere, forget buying paper towels, the oil commodities collapsed, job loss was historic, ICUs were full, schools went remote, airline travel industry collapsed, tourist industry collapsed . . . You could go on.
Meanwhile in March when it was clear not enough (essentially nothing) had been done to restrict the virus and it would become a pandemic, Trump didnt prepare the country, he pretended everything was great. He had 4+ months to prepare.

(689 posts)Remember his efforts to keep the cruise ship full of American citizens from entering a US port because it would increase the number of US Covid cases and make him look bad?
He needs to go away forever as soon as possible.

(10,293 posts)The myths that "Republicans are good for the economy" and "tax and spend Democrats run up deficits and create recessions" took off with Reagan. So did the myths that Republicans are real Americans, they're more patriotic and moral, display traditional christian family values and are the party of personal responsibility.

(35,704 posts)So you would be better off if it weren't for the legal problems.
In a sane world, Biden wouldn't need to campaign on anything other than this.
Trump 2024 - You're gonna need a bigger trench.

(969 posts)is doing much better. Biden inherited a sinking ship. Patched it up and now it's a freaking giant cruise ship. My own bad analogy LoL. The US is doing better than most of the world, with inflation, economic growth, ect. I wish the Dems could get that message out much better.

In this case, maybe not.
'Were we better off then?' would make a great set of ads comparing then with now just to show the contrast.
