I seriously doubt he is going to drop f bombs during a formal speech.

The pundits are being silly.

The swiss army knife of words, considering their utility.

I had a buddy that hung with my group back in the late 60's (HS). He could use the word fuck, multiple times in a sentence. Literally say almost nothing if you took his fuck words out of his sentences. I asked him, one time, "Ray, what did you just say? Use other words to explain without the fuck word."

That pissed him off and we never good friends after that.

People who swear generally have a larger vocabulary, not a smaller one.

Swearing Holds Surprising Benefits: A Sign Of Intelligence?

Surprisingly, studies have shown that well-educated people with a wide range of words at their disposal are better at producing curse words than those with less verbal fluency. This suggests a correlation between language ability and intelligence. In addition, swearing can also be associated with social intelligence, as it requires knowing when and where it's appropriate to use such language, similar to choosing the right outfit for a specific occasion.
