When you look up "sleazebag" in the dictionary, there is a picture of Donald Trump.
Republicans do not support Donald Trump because he was a great president or a great patriot or a great American.
They support him because he has their Party by the balls and he's not afraid to squeeze them until they squeal.
They are spineless politicians that do not deserve the vote of even one American.
The very existence of the Republican Party is in the hands of Donald J Trump and they know it. They have no choice but to do whatever he asks.
They grovel. They kiss ass. They will throw the country under the bus if it will keep their Party alive and keep them in power.
It's really sad that Americans cannot see what is happening with Republican politicians.

(9,966 posts)... Mitch is as much a "sleazebag" as Donald. He just doesn't let it show as much.

(13,614 posts)The GOP is mostly the MAGA nuts now. So, if one strays from doing what trump demands, trump will propose a suitable lunatic to run against them in the next primary, in which only republicans (i.e., MAGA loons) can vote. Hence, they lose the primary and never get to the general election, and they're out of office.

(15,290 posts)like McConnell. Trump only cares about himself, grifting and getting revenge on whoever he thinks are his enemies. Well, that leaves a lot of room to pass R policy priorities and put conservative judges on the federal bench because Trump could care less about that stuff.
