Then post it on other message forums you belong to, such as FB on your timelines, in responses, or Invitation only Political group pages. I do that as well. Causes some people to lash out, others to THINK. It is all in how you word your responses.

Republican welcome people coming over to their side. We view them with suspicion, citing post wrongs, even as we know that the Republican Party has moved so far to the Right, it has left many of its former representatives behind.

Walsh said he would support the Democratic nominee, even a socialist, in February 2022, when Bernie was still in the running.

It's more like the difference between DU and similar sites and the GOP. On DU, there are some Dems who some don't even want in the tent, much less moderate or former Republicans.

In the real world, most Dems are fine with working toward a common goal with moderate and former Republicans. That's how politics is supposed to work. Michael Steele, George Conway, the Lincoln Project, Adam Kinzinger, Lisa Murkowski, and some other current and former governors and members of Congress in the northeast and purple states, etc. Even Nicolle Wallace is a reformed Republican.

The main problem is that there just aren't enough of them.

But you have left out some, like Steve Schmidt and Rick Wilson, and I know I'm not remembering them all either.

And I don't feel we can inclde Liz Cheney (certainly not yet) but I can still admire her courage.

I really appreciate Nicolle. I miss her now - but new mothers need time off from other work. I find it hard to see how anyone with ther brain could stay Republican for lng. She can really cut through the BS.

when he says something sane and reasonable, though with Walsh, I always question his motives. He strikes me as a hardcore opportunist. Nonetheless, his words are spot-on.

I'm always happy to hear former Republicans or even those like Liz Cheney or Mitt Romney who haven't formally left the party (yet?) speak out against TSF. Their voices are extremely important and have the potential to reach people who would never listen to any of us.

I HATE it when people act like it doesn't matter what those people think. They are an asset in this fight to save our democracy, and we need as many of them as we can get!

those Republicans guilty of crimes, like lying under oath or spreading propaganda in order to damage our national security go to jail? After we've got that in hand, it would be okay to be sure our house is clean as well. There should, I think most will agree, be some means to discourage treason in the legislative classes.

They won't care that Trump loses in November. MAGA won't change. They are at minimum a cult or worse a treasonous movement. They will only get worse after Trump loses. Maybe becoming terrorists. Defeating them at the polls is only the beginning.
