Far-right hosts are blaming the GOP's big election losses on Taylor Swift

Far-right commentators are putting the blame for the GOP's major election losses during Tuesday's races on one celeb: Taylor Swift.

On Tuesday, the pop superstar encouraged her fans to vote in their local elections, writing on Instagram: "Voters gonna vote!"

"It's Election Day! If you are registered to vote in Colorado, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas or Virginia, it's time to use your voice," Swift wrote, sharing a link to Vote.org.

Though Swift didn't explicitly endorse anyone in this election, right-wing hosts bemoaned the power of the Swifties.

These folks just can't grasp the reality that Repubs are losing because voters are not buying what they are selling.

It’s a different blame game every time but I’m pretty sure, TS could not give a rats a$$ what they whine about. If anything, she’ll step it up. I don’t know her personally but if I was a betting person, that would be my take. And..I’ll venture to say, she won’t be the only one registering new voters at her concerts and then encouraging them to use their power of the ballot. 😎

There's nothing like watching a bunch of whiney, butthurt, sore losers whine, moan, and pout about how unfair everything is and blame everyone but themselves for the fact that they are big old losers! Please pass the Republican tears!

I read on Right Wing Watch that one Republican in Virginia feels that the GOP isn't extreme enough on abortion. I spent most of my life in Virginia (Chesapeake and Fairfax County), and I was fortunate enough to be in fairly tolerating schools. Now I am not really a huge fan of Taylor Swift, I don't really listen to her music, but I think that young people these days follow celebrities. Why do you think the GOP hates the fact that many celebrities don't follow their ideology? In fact, they hate Hollywood in general. They feel it is influencing too much young people and are "taking away" votes for them. But if it takes someone like that for people to realize how dangerous the Republicans are, then by any means do it.

If it is that easy for them to lose - a pop star encourages people to vote and so they lose. Have they zero self awareness? They are admitting there is not much reason to vote for them.
