Mike Johnson Backs Changing ‘Motion to Vacate’ Rule
October 29, 2023 at 3:05 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

House Speaker Mike Johnson told Fox News that he “isn’t afraid” of changing the rules governing how the speaker can be removed from the post by any one member who introduces a “motion to vacate.”

Said Johnson :”Everyone’s here in good faith … and everyone has told me that that rule has to change.”

He added: “I’m not afraid of it because I’m going to openly work transparently and work with every member and everyone will be … will fully understand what we’re doing and why.”

But he was so desperate to get the gavel he made all kinds of reckless promises to the Nitwit Brigade, and look where it got him. I don't know if Buckethead Gaetz is going to go along with a return to the old rules.

Yes, he probably backs it because it's a simple way to break the government. That is their one and only goal. Well, break it, but also to forever stay in office.
A bunch of assholes.
How terrific that they can lie and waste time and money on ridiculous hearings that accomplish absolutely nothing for their constituents. And then constantly find ways to throw wrenches in the hopes of screwing up their own work places.

Noone else would be able to keep their job if they behaved in this way.

The next time Dems have majority in both houses, they need to set up some type of minimum criteria that a member of Congress must pass to be able to even run again! Like standard of living measurements that can't be fudged. Or something!
