Had an encounter with a cultist today.

In the grocery store! Here's how it went:

Him: "They ought to take 'at ole Joe Biden to the Knoxville zoo."
Me: "Pardon?"
Him: "They oughtta take 'at ole Joe Biden to the Knoxville zoo and put him in there and put a monkey in the White House. You like that?"
Me: "No sir, I don't think so."
Him: "Whut?"
Me: "I voted for Biden."
Him: Jaw drops. Sputtering ensues.

I started to walk off, and then:

Him: "I don't think anyone who did that is very smart!"
Me: "Actually, I am very smart. But it's OK if you don't think so.
Then I walked off.

I live in Sevierville. At least we have the tourists. I used to live in Campbell county and that was like the Twilight Zone.

do they think everyone thinks just like them? When someone acts like that to me I usually call them out too. Had a gal at the grocery store complaining about Joe Biden's inflation. I said I don't see Joe Biden's name on anything in your cart. Common sense would tell you the capitalists are the ones jacking up prices.

We need major education reform in this country. I know you can't fix stupid, but you could save the rest of us from their ignorance by making them stay in school until they learned how not to be.

Usually repugs can't keep their mouths shut in a crowd. Even when nobody is saying anything they have to open up a spew some dribble.

Awhile back I was standing line at the local Mexican takeout. There was about nine of us wait in line for our orders, it was a mix whites, browns, black. And everyone was minding their own business and this white lady from out of no where speaks up, "isn't nice we can all get along.". I spoke of right away, yeah, racism is an ugly disease, people need to get a handle on it. Not another word was said.
