Ted Cruz Crap and My Not-At-All-Original Thoughts

Ted Cruz response to Georgia indictments: "I'm pissed...We've never once indicted a former president...This is disgraceful...It is an abuse of power by angry Democrats who've decided the rule of law doesn't matter anymore."

Senator, if we didn't believe in the Rule of Law, there wouldn't be any indictments. We would be storming the walls of Mar-a-Lago and threatening bodily harm to Trump and his cabal of toadies.

As for abusing power, this is an example of wielding power in a sane and sober manner. It only seems like abuse because someone other than yourself has the power in this situation. Your preference is for all power to reside in Republican hands. Your people are the ones who are angry because large swaths of the American public are using every available legal means to maintain power over their lives and destinies.

. . . For having to endure him as your legal representative. And yes, he is trying to gaslight anyone stupid enough to listen to him. If not for most people's respect for the Rule of Law, there would be chaos everywhere he goes because the public would be swatting each other aside in an attempt to punch him in his lying face.

And I have to ask, how does a man with so little self-respect that he would lick the boots of a person who insulted him and his wife still manage to look so smug and self-satisfied?

And we’ve indicted one. It is a testament to the Founders and to the people of this country that we only allowed two criminals to get to the White House, and we purged ourselves of both.

Warren Harding is probably lucky that he stroked out before he could get impeached for real.

His party gifted his long-time mistress a $25,000 cruise ($382K in today's dollars) to the Far East, plus paid her a stipend of $2000/month ($30K) to get her out of the way during the election. And that's not getting to the other mistress he had while he was POTUS, the one who gave birth to his illegitimate daughter only a year before he ran for office. Secret Service agents used to deliver the child support payments. How long that could have gone on before the press got wind of it is anyone's guess.

Bush was complicit in war crimes and we remember Clinton not being entirely truthful to a Grand Jury, but we’ve only had two who used their office and their Presidential powers to try to subvert our system of laws and government.
And Nixon’s offense was actually a “two bit burglary” compared to the treasonous level felonies of Trump.

Every day he does something outrageous, stupid, and annoying to get attention.

If caught, he'll deny saying it.

If caught at something REALLY bad, he'll deny saying it and denounce whoever it was who accused him of saying the thing he said.
