The Big Myth-- Chicago School overturned with no apologies...

We've been told for years that government and taxes are the enemies of true supply and demand economics. It's a big lie. A really big lie.

A corporation is a group of people who pool capital/assets and goodwill to create an institution that provides some product or service.

Corporations can be for-profit or they can be non-profit and still be corporations. Every public owned institution that charges for it's service directly through fees or through taxes, represents a revenue stream that capitalists think should be flowing into their portfolio.

It's about capitalist's greed and aversion to competition. Of course capitalists love their monopolies and want more of them. They hate being undercut from opportunity by the pricing of non-profits owned and run by government.

Scholarly papers refuting the effectiveness of the Chicago School philosophy have been around for over 20 years.
This book is another example of data being used to refute fairy tales.

Massachusetts, a very bad guy by Chicago standards.

It has living standards among the highest, even though it just loves gummint funding. Or because of it.

Among the tax haters are places like Alabama. Make your own conclusions.

You provide a couple great examples.
There are dozens of others.
People won Nobel prizes for work now generally debunked, but still promoted as it is the work of geniuses.

that their building should be razed and the ground sown with plutonium so the unhealthy glow would serve as a warning to any servants of extreme wealth who wanted to resurrect it in near perpetuity.

At least a few voices are now being published, saying what a vicious fucking con job it all was.
