I love it my account has been restricted. I posted a meme about big foot and they fact checked it as false. But it has started me thinking and looking up articles that they have accused me of sharing. They say they aren't partisan but they are. One was a news article on Trump and I sent articles from different reputable sources that had articles about the subject. They really don't like Jeff Tiedrich. I was thinking about trying they new threads but now I don't think I will. What social media do other DU use? I don't do Twitter and since elongated musk rat has it I will never consider it.

1. I got kicked off of Facebook twice

for being too progressive lol. I haven't used it in years now - it's pretty well past it, anyway, though the marketplace is somewhat OK. I quit Twitter just before Eloon bought it.

I use Pinterest, Reddit and Mastadon, Pinterest to advertise my business, Reddit for dedicated groups, Mastadon for other stuff.

Threads has a lot of problems which they need to work out. It was definitely rolled out still in beta, but Zuckerbot wanted to jump onto Eloon's stupidity, and I can't blame him for that. Its ability to accommodate 100,000,000 signups in 4 days smoothly is a good sign, though most of them probably rolled over from Instagram.

A lot needs to be done for Threads before it has any capability, really, at all. If it federates with Mastadon that would be great.

I will try some of your suggestions. It's really disturbing the amount of effort put into place to block. Yet seems like almost every lie the right puts on there gets a pass. The biggest problem was the joke meme about big foot. Whoever is the fact checkers are it would seem they are brainless and without a sense of humor. It was a little sign about what to do if you encounter big foot while camping. We had just went on a camping trip that was in an area that some have said to have seen one.

your account being restricted on FB is typical. As I say, it happened to me, but in the 2016 election run-up when the RWNJs were running riot and reporting everyone they could find who was trying to engage in free speech.

Zuck wanted two pieces of ID from me to keep my pages, including my business page. I said "F* that", given how porous FB's privacy is. I had been selling regularly on facebook groups before then.

FB is rubbish, IMHO.
