I didn't see a reason given by Peters, solidly liberal, in the New Dem Coalition, but he'd issued a statement of opposition to the Republican plan.

14. It's also kind of weird

Considering how much "bipartisan" was supposed to be all the rage in the last Congress, nobody seems to be concerned that this "major" legislation was passed without any Democratic votes. But that's in keeping with the narrative: Democrats can't govern without the consent of at least one Republican, but when they're in the majority, Republicans can do whatever they want.

...not a single Democrat vote. Then Paul went out the Rose Garden and cracked open a Bud Lite, because his college Ayn Rand wet dream had come true.
