in this video, the woman who kept her seat by one vote said out loud "it may have had something to do with the color of my skin"

republicans are on the road. they have been chasing permanent minority rule for decades, and it's just about complete.

now that i've learned it was all for show, I feel completely different. This is going to help Democrats down the road. I mean TN is definitely a long shot, but yeah. The protesters are out there cursing, literally cursing the republicans. The 2 expelled Black men will be back in their seats and on the evening news night after night after night, talking sense.

I said this yesterday. But being politically engaged is like living on a rollercoaster. Monday was so great - tfg being arraigned on criminal charges, that was a long time coming. Then yesterday hit: in my state NC the republicans gained a supermajority because of a woman who shall henceforth be known as "turncoat tricia." Completely gutted me. Today, I'm just kinda working and TN is on my radar, but just a blip, then I hear that 2 Black Democrats were expelled from the TN House for protesting gun violence! while they barely voted to let the white woman stay on...

then I learn that it was all just a big exercise and their expulsion is more than likely not only temporary, but will be reversed as soon as Monday! Which turns the whole show into a plus for Democrats!

i mean, what a world. and yeah when I get down, and it happens pretty frequently, I do worry about the future here. I think about moving elsewhere, but I'm old, I have kids, grandkids...I worry about what life will be like for them going forward.

i'll try to shut up now and go watch some goat videos or somesuch.
