Stupidity is the Republican's Primary Strategy

Or so it seems to me. The Republicans have been actively recruiting stupid and ignorant people. Why? Because they'll vote as they are told without actually thinking about what they're being told. Evidence for this can be found in the widespread beliefs of so many Republicans. Things like:

There is No Global Climate Change
Evolution Has No Evidence
Science Is Always Suspect
Obama is a Muslim
America Is Turning into a Socialist Country
Obama is Responsible for High Gas Prices
Fox News is Fair and Balanced
Everything Wrong is Caused by Illegal Immigrants
Most People with Brown Skin Are Here Illegally
Obama Wants to Take Away Your Guns
Private Insurance Is the Answer to Healthcare
Medicare is Bankrupting the Country

And so on and so on. Those memes have been circulated and recirculated by Republicans everywhere. They're fed to willfully ignorant and stupid people who then post them on Facebook and send them around in forwarded emails. It's the Republican's growth strategy. Spread bullshit by getting willfully ignorant and stupid people to do the grunt work.

Until the Republican Party gives up this notion that the nation can be run by morons, they are doomed to fail. I heartily encourage the Republican Party to continue on this path.

3. So it seems.

For me, that stupidity is the hallmark of the Republican Party. Throughout this campaign, I have watch as ignorance is on display everywhere I go on the Internet. Facebook turned into social media sitting in the corner with a dunce cap on its head.

If it were not for a few relatives, I would have simply removed my account there.

Its must be mental thing where they simply want to believe it so bad that at some point it becomes true.

Stupidity is excusable. It can't be helped. Willful ignorance is inexcusable. The only thing worse is the deliberate spreading of false information by those who know the information is false. That's what the leadership of the Republican Party is guilty of.

2. Why do you think they are against public education?

They want the public to be stupid.

Stupid people are easy to manipulate.

5. Do you think they're thinking that far ahead?

If so, they're more insidious than I thought. On the other hand, look at the blatant stupidity of Karl Rove. I believe he truly thought Romney was going to win, and maintained his stupidity right up to the point where Obama was declared the winner. Maybe even their leaders are stupid.

4. In addition to all of those you posted, there are also one crazy 'informative' email after another

that they pass around, every one of which can be quickly debunked by looking at Snopes or other sites. The truly dumb and amazing thing that they do is that on all the stuff you mention, plus the emails I just did, they believe ANYTHING, hook, line and sinker, whereas if a Democrat says anything, they immediately dismiss it as b.s. or 'lying'. It's beyond belief.

its prejudice and bigoted supporters..........I have many conservative friends and they simply chose to ignore the data because it goes against their beliefs...

thats a hard nut to crack and in most case, nearly impossible. We must understand that most of these type of people will NEVER be swayed. The sooner you realize the sooner you can quit wasting your time in reasoning and move on to next one in hopes they possess an ounce of skepticism in their own beliefs....

Parents often don't take the time to think about what their kids are viewing. They're too busy or something. Kids are information sponges, and information should be what they're seeing.
