(94,773 posts)He didn't appeal to mainstream Republicans. His appeal to the crowds was obvious. Santos won by convincing mainstream Republicans (in a D+4) district that he was mainstream, not MAGA.

I get feeling burned after 2016, but Santos is not the guy to do that again.
