First all I cannot post article from my I phone yet she is a Finnish author and playwright. In her bio she was born in a time when people were aware of differences between east and west the Cold War. I also am fascinated by this time I was even able to experience part of it as young infantry soldier getting assigned at time to West Germany in late 85 on a pcs out of Bragg.

So I plan on having one of two sons download her novel Purge off Amazon once they wake up and if I enjoy it then I’ll continue reading her books, I enjoy reading I grew up diagnosed with Dyslexia then outgrew it yet it still shows in my punctuation. My point is today in bloodshed of Ukraine we are witnessing East vs West in these Battles that we trained for in NATO I’m very we’re very lucky it never happened.

And today in battle Doctrine with Ukrainian army it oozes NATO the German army invasion of Russia in that we the west have adopted and enhanced. Smoke and mirrors subterfuge the ability to act quickly and capitalize on Russian screw ups seeing actual what is going on performing movements to contact making on spot decisions Ukrainian army. And the Russian army has no outside the box thinking commanders. Just the same day in day out destroying target with arty Ukrainian army pulls back , Russian army then unleashing ground troops in a predictable offense and the Ukrainians dug in hold the area.

Just an observation ramble over coffee.

1. That must be very meaningful and relateable. I wish it were for more Americans, but just as

the youngest among us have no real clear understanding of the Holocaust--neither do they really appreciate the threats from Cold War USSR--today's Russia.

I am fearful as to what this obnoxious and ignorant RW-controlled Congress will do going forward with our support for Ukraine and our allies. We can't look away.

2. It has been said that US empowers its NCOs and that makes a huge difference

... compared to authoritarian regime armies which run strictly top down.

Ukraine has been trained since 2014 by Canadians and the rest of NATO and seems to have adopted the grassroots ingenuity approach.
