In defense of the Unbearably Stupid ...

We cannot expect people who believe an election was 'stolen' without a shred of evidence, who believe that M&Ms are part of a leftist agenda, who believe that vaccines contain tracking devices meant to spy on them, who believe that Antifa stormed the Capitol on January 6th in order to stop the man they wanted to be president from being certified as such, and who believe that Biden is about to confiscate their gas stoves, to understand the difference between stealing classified documents and repeatedly lying about it and uncovering classified documents and immediately returning them to NARA.

Expecting the Unbearably Stupid to smarten-up is like expecting bears to stop shitting in the woods and start shitting in the Capitol rotunda, like patriotic Republicans do.

we "understand" the MAGA cult..not unlike Maggie Haberman's apologia... Trump is an amoral depraved malignant narcissist because he was born into dysfunction...and then there's Olivia's Nunzi's New York Magazine profile painting Trump as exiled and alone, sad, and friendless...cue the tears...

Trump appealed to the base of the Republican Party: white, christian, disenfranchised, racist, antisemitic, xenophobic...he gave them a voice and "seats at the table", and occupying those seats are Greene, Gosar, Jordan, Gaetz, Boebert, Perry, Lee, Comer, McCarthy..and Santos

as would excusing mishandling of important documents if it was our president and his staff doing it.

Frankly, I'm so far from excusing the egregious, criminal-level negligence that would have to be involved in "losing" or "misplacing" so many government documents, much less classified, that I have real trouble believing that's how these came to be where they were found. One set, or one place maybe.

I decided to play with them. My first comment was about how all Americans need to mind their own business.
It has been fun but yes the commenters are Unbearably Stupid.

Wow you are a absolute riot. Funny and easy man you are. We are right where I expected us to be at this point. This is a very predictable conversation. You fell apart like a Kia! You are in way over your head.

Did you ever hear you can disagree / debate without personal attacks and name calling. Listen ya 12 year old richard cranium (had to do it) you are the one who presents no content. You sir are the one telling me to sit in a corner. You are calling me names constantly because you have no argument and you like being a bully. You did not respond to a single point I made. You have nothing because no one ever pushes back. The radical right has one rock solid position and that is HATE. You sir have proven this point beyond all doubt!!! I held your hand and walked you in. I knew you would be easy.

I can tell you this, any American who still supports treasonous trump and his band of wacko criminals is a very scary person and you still support him. Your party is trying to destroy our Democracy.
It won't work because we always destroy the fascist in the end.

How did trump's right hand man Weisselberg make out.

people are dropping dead from vaccines. They all claim to know someone that dropped dead the day after they got "the jab". They are 100% convinced. Recent celebrity deaths are attributed to "the jab" on social media within minutes of the reports of their death. I guess no one died of a heart attack before the vaccine. Or meningitis as is the case with Jeff Beck. People with no medical or science degree believing people also without medical or scientific backgrounds on social media who are simply trying to be "influencers" to gain popularity. And with no one in the republican party who will even attempt to educate them, it's no wonder their worshipers are this screwed up. I guess the willfully ignorant, purposely misled, gullible, under-educated are easier to control if your goal is a fascist theocracy.

Sure, some are stupid, even more are ignorant but as has been said so many times, "they" have been around for decades. It's not what they believe, it is a choice they make because Donald Trump has shown them it's OK to be a self-serving, bigoted, anti-government narcissist. It's a sickness without a therapeutic.

And now, a lot of people who are neither stupid nor ignorant and holding powerful positions, are encouraging the people to make the choice.
