We think it's exciting at this point. Listening to the wind howl and playing cribbage by candle light.

I so wish our lines were underground. One of my friends lives in a heavily wooded area of the Main Line, and her power goes out every other month - usually a tree falling on wires on 320.

(Plus it looks so much better)

I lived in the subdivision 20+ years ago in a rental. It's a wonderful subdivision and still looks lovely after all these years, which is why I'm actually buying a home there.

However, we lost power as often as the rest of the county, buried or not, because most of the county isn't buried. So every time someone hits a pole outside our subdivision, but inside the power structure for the subdivision, we still lost power.

All up I-95 N, there were convoys of tree trimming trucks with Florida license plates on them. At one traffic island on the NJ Turnpike, I saw like thirty of them gassing up for the rest of the trip.

We're pulling together as a nation on this, and it will reflect well on Election Day, in contrast to the disorganization that accompanied Katrina.

Our trucks are all wheel drive and big enough to drive through water several feet deep. No worries. I'll know later today exactly where we are headed.
