1. All he really needs to do is take it public again.

Just hold the stock for a few years and then make a new public offering.

He can try to fix what he sees wrong with the company in the meantime, and can turn a profit on the resale.

Dealing with other people's opinions as a commercial commodity is probably going to bore him very quickly.
