It sounds like the GOP is going to have Twitter on its side for the mid-terms.

Twitter is back in discussion about selling to the spoiled child, musk.
Once that trump ass kisser owns Twitter, it will turn into a right wing garbage bin.

Who needs to get things "re-teweeted" when every media outlet constantly forces your tweets on everyone 24 hours a day. There will be no escape. The media will let trump suck all the oxygen out of the media space again just like it did for four grueling years. Heck, they're still doing it whenever they can.

My initial thought was that Musk was just doing this to make some money by manipulating the stock price. Not sure that is wrong at this point.

And if he actually does buy a controlling interest, I'm not sure how that is going to have any huge impact on elections. But I could be wrong.

the stock didn't really move that much because pretty much most investors felt the same.

I am sure someone could buy Truth Social for a dime and make it the new twitter.

That's a lot of money to spend on dictatorship.
Musk should look at what's happening in Russia: the billionaires are being assassinated by their leader..

Musk WILL support TFG, so he has nothing to worry about in that department.

the change for the most part. and I don't anticipate this turning into some sort of free-for-all. It'll probably be somewhere in the middle when the smoke clears.
This may be the place where we need to accept that allowing stupid to openly express itself for all to see as being a good thing.
They can lay out all of their ridiculous theories and lies for all to see, and for all to openly mock and take apart, one piece at a time.
Besides, it's not like twitter was ever a good place to go for accurate information anyway.
I'll take the wait-n-see approach.

That's why Twitter, FB and others began blocking that QAnon and other lies: because people were believing it without question.
