I've only just woken, and seen this on Sky news (link to Guardian), I looked to see if already posted - apologies if this is a repeat.
This young lady will be remembered for her bravery. I shudder to think what the Russian authorities are doing with her now?

(6,139 posts)With that said, it appears that she was fully aware what she was up against. As an editor, she has admitted to spreading kremlin propaganda for many years. I bet she felt guilty since it appears she has relatives in Ukraine. I am glad she stood up this time, she made a conscious choice so I dont feel sorry for her at all, but nevertheless grateful. And lets be honest, 15 years for speaking the truth after spreading the propaganda that led to a genocide would be a very light outcome out of this.

She will be fortunate to survive?

(22,957 posts)I hope Putin is removed before this woman has to suffer too long in prison. I hope she survives.
If Russia is to be rid of Putin, and end the nightmare for Ukraine, somebody who has been, apparently, loyal to the invasion cause will have to turn, decisively, with potential suicidal consequences?
