Is it too much for the media to ask any Republican what policy they're for?

What are their prescriptions for what ails Americans? And we can’t accept that tired old tax cuts for the rich BS.
I can’t point to a single thing they’re doing to actually fix the massive problems we are facing. I’m fed with with hearing what they’re against. Make them tell us what they’re for. I’d be willing to bet, some of them will say the quiet part out loud if asked directly.

They treat Youngkin's win like this huge to do.

Right now Murphy has a bigger lead than Youngkin - but he "eked out a win".

So over their bullshit.

No matter the margin,

Republican win = “overwhelming mandate.”

Democratic win = “narrow victory.”

just that they might have to have one of those discussions that contains some in-depth detail and facts. That sort of thing is not on the media agenda anymore in this country and hasn't been for a very long time. They will however give you a 10 minute discussion on Britney Spears trials and tribulations using an extensive array of archival clips along with bringing in 4 guest "expert" analysts to hash it over.

Intellectually lazy with no real principles. Why bother going to journalism school when you've got a fat contract with hair and makeup at your disposal 24/7. Oh, you better stay on your diet as well.

they will stay chosen because of how gerrymandering nullifies the popular state votes. 2022 is going to be a gerrymandered win across red states regardless of whether or not Dems are in the majority.

The court filings will die at the appellate level and Republican gerrymanders will stay for the next ten years. A whole generation of Republicans now sit in statehouses and will sit in Congress without ever having an opponent or having to run a campaign. Imagine how inept and out of touch they will be about the clear majority of voters who've been nullified by gerrymander.

Biden should have ordered a revised census in his first 100 days, but for covid. Still, there should be a new count during a Democratic administration, soon, or we will never have non-whites accurately counted again.

The census was a mess and was calling for a revised or rerun of the census using the original 4/1/2020 census date. Should have happened by now. The other thing is that the covid mess has really screwed things up so a revised or updated census should be conducted because of this once major disaster, the pandemic that is.

which is to say they are against taxes, so even that is opposition. Everything else is opposition: regulations, equal rights, right to have abortions, gay rights, social programs, etc. Basically they are against progress, which is why they are sometimes referred to as "regressives" and not conservatives.

They need to be asked, how anyone could defend those tax cuts helping anything when the country’s hard infrastructure is old and crumbling. If tax cuts were so great that wouldn’t be the case. People also would t be working for slave wages.

Tax cuts has always sounded like the taxes cut would be everyone's and relatively equally. That has never been the case historically, nor during W's terms, Nor TLG's.

What the GOP is about is to remove any tax or regulatory burden at all on the richest and best connected of our citizens and corporations. In order to use whatever remains to enble them to reap even more welfare, like subsidized crops for corporate farmers, like deferred payment minimal taxes on oil, gas, and minerals taken from public lands, like protecting major corporations from oversight by congress, or states, or citizen's advocates.

so Dems must be against those things.

They're for tax cuts and giving tons of contracts to their unqualified friends. We've seen that too many times in the Trump administration when GOP controlled congress. And we've seen how tax cuts have helped the economy vs Dem stimulus right now. But of course GOP wants people to be desperate enough to take low wage jobs without benefits.

So they would probably say something about that, about those proposed payouts to some of the refugees. They were saying yesterday that Americans are doing without so the government can give half a million dollars to immigrants. My thought was that if there are Americans in need, much of the reason for it is Republicans refusing to help.
