That is the only reason, to keep democratic committee chairman and hope for an extra democrat or 2 in the next cycle.

Schumer is a very good leader, but he is not in control of a 50-48-2 Senate. I don’t see anyone doing a better job.

I'd really want to choose none of the above but if I were an actual Senator and there was a vote for Majority Leader and these 2 were the choices, I'd vote Schumer.

If I could just vote for whoever I wanted, it would be Senator Warren.
