"WFA" (Work From Anywhere) policy.

Now that I am vaccinated... I am looking around for a decent place to live in the world that a) has an OK climate, b) is cheap to live, c) expats are welcome d) has fun things to do, and e) has really good internet access.

It really makes a difference.

I did take advantage of a video visit with my PCD for enough of a physical to renew my prescriptions late last year, but, it was lacking and IMHO a workaround to a full physical. I did it that way more out of an abundance of caution with respect to my provider's exposures than a concern about my own.

Leadership within the various departments are putting together plans regarding return to work plans. I do software development work within IT and suspect that we'll be taking a hybrid approach, doing most of our development work at home but coming into the office to gather business requirements and perform design/code reviews.

My employer has drawn one redline though - no one will be permitted to work from out of state. HR does not want to deal with 50 different sets of tax rules.

For most office bound workers to Telework and show up at the office only once or twice a pay period as a check-in/"re-sync" with co-workers and admin.
So I can still work in my jammies until it's time for a potty break.

However, my friend who works for L&I was put on working remote and will now mostly remain that way. They might have the remote workers come in once a week but they are not completely decided on that.

It has saved money not having employees there all of the time and most of the employees like the remote work and particularly the savings in gas.

Three days in the office, two days at home. My team has worked remotely since early 2018, but the scumbag vice president we report to has a sad about people not working in the office so they're reeling us in.

Really sucks because the office is over an hour away and it's $30/day round trip to take the bus. As a result I have to find a new job. I can't afford $360/month just to get to work, and they made it very clear they're not interested in compromise. I feel like I wasted the last five years of my life since they're so casual about throwing us away if we can't manage three days in the office.

They had just started on a new workspace in late 2018, have been full remote since last March, there is a stated goal to (in my case at least) get me back in the office, but no communication yet if that will be the old office, or if the new office is open, or how many days a week.

Still, I'm working on losing a few pounds against the eventuality of being re-cubicled

,.. we have done since last year.

3 in the office, 2 remote; or 3 remote and 2 in the office. We will basically be doing something like this indefinitely because we would like to stay competitive with other sectors.

I've enjoyed working from home - I feel I'm much more productive. Down time isn't spent just sitting at my desk, I can get a multitude of tasks completed. I login earlier (no need to get ready or make a long drive) and I respond to inquiries and complete work well after hours. It's offered me so much flexibility. I wish this would have been an option when my kids were little, it would have saved us so much in childcare costs.

I do miss the camaraderie of the office, and getting dressed up to go to work, but I love the money I'm saving on gas!

One week at home, one week Mon-Thu in the office, alternating, with Friday always working from home. The idea is to keep the office at no more than 50% capacity.

I much prefer working from home now, however, so even for my in-office days, I've been taking off after lunch to work from home during the afternoons, and no one seems to care.

I imagine we'll be officially back to 100% in-office soon, especially for our NH office, because NH is pretty damned safe now. On the other hand, I'll wangle as much WFH time as I can get from now on, and at least my immediate boss is all for that idea, for me and for himself.

Our local HR person really loves the idea of everyone being back in the office, however (she was terribly reluctant about us going back to full-time working from home during the winter spike) so we'll have to see how much weight her attitude carries.

Will continue until September now, was told maybe July it will end, but now it's September. And we'll be going to a hybrid of Tuesday Thru Thursday being in the office, Monday and Friday WFH, but I think I will do Wednesday home too.

Aerospace engineering, work on Avionics. Just lost one of our brightest young engineers because he wanted to be guaranteed work from home indefinitely. He took a job that is 100% WFH for the space industry. This is the talent we really need to compete for, and more and more it's talent that wants flexible work from home and a good work life balance.
