(2,210 posts)They, if infected, might be more likely to pass the virus on because they live in greater poverty, in denser households, and are less likely to seek or receive quality healthcare.
And they're more likely to be employed in an essential service, like food.

(6,011 posts)The priority for vaccinations does not list "Undocumented Immigrants" in phase 1-A. The phases have (mostly) been chosen to reduce risk of death and to reduce the spread of the virus. Explicitly excluding undocumented immigrants from getting vaccinations would be counterproductive, especially since many of them work in critical industries that are in close quarters and cannot be done remotely.
This is a huge scale operation, and it's being done in a country that is ill-equipped for such a massive public health rollout. There are bound to be edge cases that are not going to be what would happen under an ideally designed system, but taking the time to design such a system would introduce unacceptable delays.
It's a tough time for us all, but do not let it make you into a resentful person.
