However mad Democrats got about Bernie

What Joe Manchin is doing to fck over the Democratic Party is a hundred millions times worse than any offense that Bernie may have committed, and this is coming from a moderate Democrat who has not been a big fan of Bernie. I hope the scorn Democrats heap on him is equal if not exceeds the sht we have given Bernie

Possibly even OH. All three incumbent Repukes are retiring. Hold Kelly's seat in AZ and Warnock's in GA. Doable in an off year election where Donnie the Dumb Ass isn't on top of the ticket bring out his unwashed minions.

Primarying Sinema is a long shot, but not out of the question. Manchin and WV are impossible. Grab a few Senate seats where we can and write WV off for good. Fuck them.

I'm begging fellow "Democrats" to stop pushing. We're a diverse party, made up of many parts, and for better or worse, that includes Manchin & Sinema. I'm thinking we should tread very carefully for the good of Democrats nationwide. As you know, a party switch by one or both these Senators puts the gavel right back in the hands of Mitch McConnell. If McConnell held the gavel, the bill that just passed would never have seen the light of day.

like how they banded together to get rid of Franken.
So, you want to get rid of Manchin?

Why?

You want to force him to resign?

Why?

That would give the Senate back to the Republicans. Is "revenge" so important? If so, that's a very Sarandonesque way of thinking and it nothing positive will come of it.

The animosity of Democrats toward him disgusts me. It should be re-directed to those Democrats who work AGAINST Democratic policy and against the good of the people.

who don't understand that we need to move progressively is another thing, but Bernie is good for the country and the Democratic party, I can never understand the "what Bernie did to the Democratic party"...What did he do that has not been good?

We need to move forward, the progressives must be able to provide more influence otherwise the same issues we have been having for 100 years will continue, and we will be the "exceptional" country just in words but behind the rest of the world when it comes to education, health, income, equality, and more. It is important to understand that the USA is behind all those when compared to other more civilized countries.

We are the country that still believes that you don't need to learn another language because THEY should learn English, a country that still laughs about people burping on TV and the movies, gullible to an extent we embrace stupidity like QAnon in masses, where education is valued less than TV, a place where people believe the internet and never question it...we are behind many things, and unless progressive legislature is passed we will stay behind. Yes, USA has a lot of achievements in Science, Economics, Medicine, etc. but lets be real, that is a fraction of the country who make those contributions, a minority, that we think we are better than everyone else because of the achievements of that minority is a fantasy, and it is what the old politics want us to think.

We can be better, we all know the human potential is here, but we need new ideas, we need real leaders that will help move the country ahead.

Bernie has fucked up a lot of things for the dems over the years, with his purity tests of bills. He almost did it again today by trying to add the minimum wage when it was certain it would not go through and could have cost the dems the entire bill should some of the repubs decided to vote for the amendment. That is why more dems joined not to attach it to the bill but now are on record for not supporting min wage when they actually do. This was on Bernie.

period from January 20, 2009 to January 3rd 2011 where we had trifecta control (POTUS/House/Senate) before now. All the rest of the time we lacked either the House, and/or the Senate, and/or the POTUS or combos of all 3.

Manchin, all by himself, just took almost 2000 USD in total unemployment payments away from millions of people. (23 weeks at 300 usd per week is 6900 usd in toto, the House version, that all Dems but Manchin supported was 22 weeks at 400 usd per week, thus 8800 usd in toto). Manchin also (along with Shaheen and Sinema) stripped 17 million people (12 million adults, 5 million children) of the 3rd round of COVID aid cheques, after they got 2 cheques under that fucker Rump.

first for Dems, then for Rethugs, the entire time. He had only a small amount power back then, certainly not sole virtual veto power like Manchin has.

Sanders did NOT hold up Clinton health care plan. That is a factually untrue statement. he actually worked with Hillary in 1993 and 1994 to HELP get her plan passed. Please stop pushing disinfo.

Sanders attended an event with Hillary to push health care reform in 1993.

Clinton even wrote him a hand-written thank you note for his work on it in 1993.

"I am grateful that Congressman Sanders could join us today from Vermont," Clinton said at the event.

You are also playing revisionist history over the USPS board. Sanders blocked 2 Rethugs that the unions (you know a massive part of our voter bloc) were going bonkers over.

I don't expect democrats to vote in lockstep with the party every time. I had an uncle that said if his union told him to vote for the devil he would cast that vote and ever since I have had a problem with people being told how to vote and following those orders.
