(412 posts)At least my GOP Rep Ann Wagner MO-2 was not on the list unlike the rest of the state house reps. She did sign on to the Texas lawsuit and received a ton of backlash here in St Louis about so that might have had a part of her doing what was right. Other than her and Roy Blunt every one of the other GOPs from Missouri were on the list.

(3,888 posts)Of course there was one slated to be on that list, who removed herself yesterday after the coup.

(2,102 posts)Neither if our Senators, because Braun thought better of it after saying he was going to object. There's also pictures of him speaking to the crowd outside before it all. So, he may be backpedaling now, but he doesn't get a pass.

(58,785 posts)Our ex- rep, Doug Collins of GA, would be on that list but he lost his house seat when he ran against Kelly Loeffler. And lost that too.
Shortly after the 2020 election, Collins joined a case before the Supreme Court calling for all the votes for president in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin states that were narrowly lost by his party to be discounted, claiming that some voters there followed procedures set by the wrong state officials. The case did not allege that any voters or election workers acted improperly but amplified lies and conspiracy theories that fueled the movement that led to the attack on the Capitol. The Supreme Court rejected the case. Following the rejection of several cases before the Supreme Court, one legislator called for violence.
Fitting epitaph, and I hope it will be that, though there's a lot more that could be on it. In GA, we'll never forget his tent revival-style performance defending Trump at the impeachment hearing.

(53,066 posts)that's wild. Do you know which legislator called for violence?
