Poll: Pence will be pressured to pardon Trump, his kids, and his criminal associates

just curious. If you think this is a waste of time, etc...feel free to move on.

The poll is based on the assumption that Trump resigns so Pence can pardon him. If Trump refuses to resign, then of course the poll is moot.

And the pardon power would be his, not Pence’s, were Trump not to resign.

My question is predicated on the assumption that he would resign in order to get Pence to pardon him. He very well might refuse to resign and take the risk of a self-pardon.

He will push his pardoning himself to the limit as that’s what he does. No one in the GOP will push back...they haven’t so far. They are all spineless cowards or complicit. He will continue to try to overturn the election in plain site and again...no one within HIS party will object.

His precious ego will not allow this. He will literally have to be carried out of the WH.

That's what they would do to anyone else who was trespassing; they would mace them and then they would cuff them and drag them off.

Even sticking with your assumption that PINO takes his ball & goes home.
Pence has ambitions toward the Senate.
Pardoning PINO & his family for crimes they "may have" committed (like Ford's pardon of Nixon) will be a political millstone if investigations turn up sufficient evidence.
He might still win in Indiana, but he come to D.C. with zero clout.
A former VP (& governor) with no influence?
He pardons PINO, those ambitions are toast.
