One thing she lacks is name recognition which is what Kamala Harris has. I'm not even sure I ever heard Demmings speak.

And a lot of VPs didn't have name recognition when they were chosen. And how much did Harris have outside of California and democratic party circles?

Really made some of The Dotard's fools look bad. She was on point and really shone.

African American turnout probably wouldn't be as high w/o Harris. May have also cost PA and MI for the same reason.

Kamala Harris was the best choice, she will make an outstanding Vice President, and will be the perfect ally for Biden going forward.

(I realize you're not denigrating Harris with your post).

FL has a long history of cheating the vote. Never trust the vote count in FL just know that the scales are tipped in repuke flavor. Frankly our efforts as democrats would be better spent on not chasing the white whale of FL.

There are just too many Blind Faith Trump lovers here. Between the rednecks in my end of the state, the retired Yankees, worried about their money in the center, and the Cubans in the South, who will never forgive Democrats for the Bay of Pigs, we are entrenched. The only places in the North end of the state that went for Biden were the homes of major universities, and my county, where white people are the minority.

It would have peeled voters away from the left but maybe blunted some which peeled away from the middle (over the defunding of the police message).

It definitely would have helped in Iowa, but that doesn't mean squat. Demings was the best Favorite daughter/son available (Stacey Abrams being the other one who brought home it home without even needing to be on the ticket).

Biden was already too moderate for the average Democratic voter. Would Demings over Harris have peeled away more support in places like Madison or Ann Arbor?

Met her the day I met President Obama in Orlando.
( I shook his hand!) She lights up a room and projects cool confidence. She is going places.
