It's pretty bad when you have to be the cheerleader for yourself.
When he introduces Ryan at a campaign stop ("What about this guy?! What about this guy?!"
and the crowd starts chanting "RYAN-RYAN-RYAN".
And Mitt, with a tight grin, says "Wait a minute, it's ROMNEY-Ryan, ROMNEY-Ryan, ROMNEY-Ryan".
He had to actually remind his lukewarm supporters that HE was at the top of the ticket.
And I didn't hear any chanting after that.
Kinda sad.
And very telling.
