Condemning white nationalism and supremacy is something he can never do

Think about it. Trump is the biggest fucking white supremacist in America. He always has been. He sees nothing wrong in being a racist or dividing the country on the lines of hate. He revels in the basest of bigotries and tropes. He is an intolerant, discriminatory, extreme, illiberal, narrow-minded narcissist. He is a morality and ethic free zone. He is as corrupt as he is unscrupulous. He is a cheating, crooked, dirty dealing malcontent, whose soul has been poisoned beyond repair by his wilful hate filled world view. All of these things he has in common with those he was asked to condemn at the debate.

To condemn the Proud Boys, or the Boogaloo’s, or the KKK, or the various militias, or the mass shooters who have already responded to his rhetoric in the deadliest of ways, is to condemn himself. They are him. He is them. Ugh.

1. Sure he can. The stand by order was given and received. More than just the Proud Boys will

know it was intended for them. He can now say whatever he need to say to polish that turd. The white supremacist's will know he's secretly winking at them, and tell each other he was just forced to say that and we know what we need to do.

3. Trump's "soldiers" are a very small minority

The Proud Boys (named after a cut song from a Disney cartoon movie! How appropriate) are not an organized military force. Neither are the other right-wing militias.

These anti-democratic, anti-American people can certainly cause some trouble but in the end, they are not going to change much. Even if they act out with violence, it will be ineffective on a national scale because the vast majority of Americans don't want our society and our economy to crash and burn.

He sees nothing wrong with them or himself. He thinks he is the greatest man on earth. He may try to for the sake of his campaign, but he will not himself go there properly.
