My election forecasts...pulled straight out of you-know-where.

As of September 25, I see Barack Obama being re-elected with 287 to 316 electoral votes depending on how Florida goes. Obama will lose Indiana and North Carolina and, as I suggested, Florida could go either way. More forecasts:

- We make significant gains in the House but fall short of a majority. Boehner will be gone as Speaker.
- In the Senate, we lose Nebraska, North Dakota and Montana but take Massachusetts and Nevada.
- Marriage equality wins at the ballot in Washington, Maine and Minnesota but loses in Maryland.
- Democrats take control of the Minnesota legislature.
- Tammy Duckworth ends the worthless career of Joe Walsh.
- Democrats lose governorships in Washington and North Carolina.
- Allen West is retired.
- In CA, prop 30 passes, the death penalty is finally abolished, Democrats pick up 2 to 3 Congressional seats and 2/3 of the legislature.
- Paul Ryan will quietly write his version of what went wrong to anyone in the GOP who will listen and begin running for president.
- Hillary steps down and Sec. of State but decides she is just too old to make another run for POTUS. Accepts the next appointment to Supreme Court.
- Biden also passes on another run for POTUS.
-John Kerry will retire form the Senate and replace Hillary at State.

I predict President Obama will win the election with 333 electoral votes.

At the moment Obama and Romney are pretty much tied in NC. Some maps have NC as a toss-up now. I think President Obama will win NC.

I agree with your prediction of John Kerry being the next SoS.

Do you think Michelle Bachmann and Akin are destined to lose?

Do you think Eric Cantor will lose, or is he the next Speaker?

If Ryan loses the VP/POTUS election, will he even hold his seat in Wisconsin?

I truly hope Scott Brown gets thumped good. He has morphed into Mr Jackhole.

Will Scalia or Thomas ever leave the Supremes?

What about the fall-out from voter suppression? Could get ugly.

What is the fate of the Tea Party? Slow death, I hope.

Cantor will win re-election and become Speaker. I don't know if Ryan holds his seat. Voter suppression may be what steals Florida away from us again. The Tea Party doesn't go away because it's the base of the Republican Party. They look for another hard right candidate for 2016.

I've noticed they've changed how strong it is, and one lightened the color on the map. Saw Joe Donnelly on Big Ed's show earlier, and I really expect him to beat Mourdock for Lugar's Senate seat. I wish Gregg, who is running for Governor, was stronger than I think he is, against Mike Pence, rabid tea-partier and all-around blowfish. But, I don't know enough about him. Oh how I wish (and pray) for a triumvirate out of Indiana on those races, but very much not likely. I will take what I can get. You may be right about Hillary and the age thing. If Obama gets another SCOTUS appointment, it's a sure bet Hillary would be on the short list. If she declines or isn't in the running, then I would suspect she's still eyeing 2016. Reagan started at 72 or something like that, Hillary's a tough cookie. Biden has gone as far as he can or will go. Just my guesses.

But we have a big fight on our hands here for the Senate. The Dems actually have the lead to take Lugar's old seat. Rove's group just poured about a million dollars into this state to help save the seat for the GOP. Everyone always talks about how close the Mass. Senate race is, but our race is just as close but gets no National attention.

The last Presidential poll in Indiana (about a week ago) had Obama only down 6 to Romney (47-41)

Right now, Obama is closer to Romney in Indiana than Romney is to Obama in Florida and Ohio.

The Indiana Senate race needs more notoriety. Senate commercials air constantly here. Its the biggest "under the radar" Senate battle in the country.

Indiana could be a surprise Dem pickup on election night.

The only way McKenna beats Inslee is if the whole state goes totally red -- and the only way that will happen is if massive external circumstances arise that lead to Rmoney winning nationally as well.

And, while I've grown to respect Hillary over the last four years, I'd much rather she either run in '16 or retire altogether. I don't want her taking a spot on the SCOTUS, not because she wouldn't do a fine job, but I don't want a short-term justice who will likely retire within a decade or so, allowing a future Republican president to fill another spot. I'd much rather we find someone like Hillary, but in their mid-40s, so they'll be around to be a thorn in the conservatives' side for decades to come.

Unless Romney wins in a landslide, Inslee is the next Governor of Washington.
The house is looking better every day for Democrats.
North Dakota is tied.
