Walmart can afford the best-paid public relations team, but spin doesnt make a difference when its immediately contradicted by a leaked document.
Warehouse workers have raised serious concerns about broken equipment and high injury rates in the warehouse where we work moving Walmart merchandise. But when weve asked for working equipment, we have been retaliated against.
Walmart spokesperson Dan Fogelman said workers' claims were either unfounded, or if they are legitimate, have been addressed. (Los Angeles Times, Sep. 17)
But a management document from inside the warehouse tells a different story. A worker found a company checklist with Walmarts logo on it that shows a lot of equipment is broken and even dangerous. The document is dated Aug. 8, but workers report that problems noted in the document still have not been fixed. (You can view the document here.)
Send an email to Walmart and NFI, the warehouse operator, and tell them they have been caught red handed.

(3,178 posts)I haven't stepped inside one for at least ten years, and only then at my wifes urging. There are other super stores with good prices... pay a bit more, it's worth it to stick it to them, crooked, sick, greedy and uncaring Mega store

(6,785 posts)the second I moved to a place that had anything else to go to. They love to stick Wal-Marts in rural areas where they can completely shut down all competition.
I doubt many people here are Wal-Mart shoppers if they have any choice in the matter.

(6,785 posts)Where I lived it was a hundred mile drive to hit anything that wasn't a Wal-Mart. They'd literally shut down every other option by sticking one in every town with more than 4000 people.
Being forced to deal with them only intensified my dislike for them.

(3,596 posts)My sister and her family do some shopping there. I have them drop me at the corner cafe before they dive into the cesspool and do their shopping there. I won't even ride home in the same vehicle that contains the vermin. Nor will I allow any food or other WalMart purchases touch me or my plate.
The world would be better off if WalMart and Daddy Wal-fuck had never been born.
