Don't forget. There was no trial with the last impeachment.

Mitch McConnell is in charge of the Senate and he would not permit even one witness. John Bolton wanted to testify and was refused.

None of the evidence was permitted to be put forth.

If there had been a Democratic Senate, the people would have known the facts.

That is the difference between a cover-up and a real trial.

The American people deserve to know the truth and the facts about Donald Trump and his Republican accomplices.

And, yet, lots of people seem to think it would be different this time. TwilightZone Sep 2020 #2

Takes 67 votes to remove.

Sure, more stuff would have come out about Trump, but it wouldn't change anyone's mind. The vast majority of people made up their minds about him years ago and there clearly isn't a line he could cross to lose his base support.

...and not in the dark. The truth is important. It is not acceptable to sweep it under the rug. The people have a right to know. There is a world of difference. We don't know if anyone would have changed their minds but at least, they would have the facts with which to make a decision.

He was no such thing.

There was no trial.

Trump was simply summarily declared 'not guilty of crimes that rose to the level of removing him from office' by his lackeys in the Senate Majority.

He was in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM 'acquitted' of jack shit.

starts issuing subpoenas to investigate the massive cover-ups the moment the new Congress is sworn in on January 3, 2021.

After that, the new Joe Biden-appointed Attorney General and key US Attorneys can be approved and sworn in immediately after President Biden on January 20 and start prosecutions for contempt for witnesses who fail to comply with these subpoenas.

That's one of the many millions of checks and balances that have failed in these 4 years.
