Several Republican Senators are betting that their supporters do not care if they are lied to. Just call it "politics".

How can they be trusted on anything if they are so sure there is no price to pay for public dishonesty?

Not among the cultish Trump voters. Having Trump win is the only thing that matters. As far as the lack of character, they insist it's all a liberal conspiracy to bring Trump down. That means cheat, cook the numbers, do whatever is necessary. Even Trump has now announced that he plans on using the courts to declare a winner on election night. Trump voters will applaud that possibility as long as it works in their favor.

Which is why the spell must be broken. Along with Trump and Trumpism and every stinking Trump enabler.
