With polls showing President Donald Trump trailing former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential campaign, the incumbent appears nervous that he might lose a fair vote.
At a campaign rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Saturday, Trump spoke for over 90 minutes.
In addition to vowing he will fill the Supreme Court vacancy created by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and accusations that Biden has performance-enhancing drugs injected in his ass, Trump threatened to call off the election by banning Biden from running.

(9,589 posts)get the military behind him. His attitude and past behavior points to this. He knows the GOP politicians will do whatever he commands them to do.

And I think you're right but I guess we'll have to wait for the next person's book to find out.

Stop being played. It just feeds his ego to see the uproar.

(3,573 posts)He's not trolling; he's sending up trial balloons as someone already said here. He's casting doubt over the election, so that the only non-fraudulent result his supporters can believe is the one in which he defeats Biden. Any other result, and he'll call for his supporters to storm places wherever mail-in ballots are being counted. Intimidating election officials will be the least of their perfidy; they will outright burn places, destroy ballots, and harm people. And if after all that, Biden still has more votes, Trump still has more than two months to wreak outright havoc as president.
And it won't stop there. If Trump still has a Twitter platform even after being dragged out of the White House or fleeing to Moscow or whatever end-game scenario we can all cook up, he will call into question the legitimacy not just of the incoming Biden administration but the American form of government itself. He will egg on his supporters to do their worst, because doing their best is not in their character or nature. He will still claim he is the legitimate president. So to mitigate (not eliminate, sadly) the worst that Trump can do BECAUSE HE WILL he has to be banned from Twitter so his reach can be cut short. The sooner, the better.
