the House which we SHOULD, I understand that one big threat the Dems have made is to increase the number of justices on the SCOTUS. . . Sounds like a fabulous plan to me, but is it even feasible?

1. It is possible.

I believe that, first, Dems would need to get rid of the filibuster.

if they kill the fillibuster they could get it done.

3. Yes. The size of the Supreme Court is set by legislation.

Nothing requires that it be 9. It could be 11 or 21 or 187 if Congress wanted to make it that.

Of course that assumes some Dems don't break ranks.

After witnessing the past 4 years and seeing how low republicans are willing to sink, democrats need to do everything in their power to make sure we're never this helpless to evil again. If they don't, I'm done with this country. Seriously.

must announce that if the GOP rushes to pack the Court, the Dems will expand the SCOTUS to 11 justices, and expand the lower federal courts by 70 to 100 new judgeships, which have long been needed. In short, he will depoliticize the federal judiciary!

7. I think I would go with this. And the best thing this would accomplish is to reduce the

electoral college advantage that republicons have.
