(8,936 posts)I generally like Patagonia products, but man they're pricey. It's like $80-90 for a simple hoodie or sweatshirt.
They had this quilted sweatshirt I really wanted for a ski trip once, then I saw it was well over $100 for the thing. Hard pass.

(49,934 posts)I have some Patagonia gear that is 10-20 years old and still running strong. They also fix things for free -- for example I had a winter jacket that had some broken zippers and seams unraveling, and they fixed up like new for no cost. Few other clothes I've owned have lasted that long.

(12,994 posts)alerts or get sales notices in my inbox. I really do like their stuff - high quality & a good sweatshirt w last a long long time. Our young adult kids all love hoodies & love getting them as gifts. We usually give money since they're big now, but i always end up giving them giftbags filled w/ useful stuff as well. That may change when we have grandchildren.

How difficult would it be to start a broad-based ad campaign centered around that theme?
Why do oil companies get to dominate the narrative?
