At the crossroads there is "Hippie Hill" where bikers rev their hogs across from Dick's store that now sports a huge Drumpf sign. No surprise there. But a mile down the road at a house that used to have the same sign, there is now a BIDEN/HARRIS sign.
I'm so excited I almost want to turn around and look at it again but hubby (driver) says no. 😁

(4,660 posts)It's a few hundred feet from the Danbury General Store, which is a big, nice place. I've always suspected Dick of selling something out of the back room, because how can he stay in business?!

(36,464 posts)Biden - Harris yard sign for $14.99 + tax, free delivery. I paid $16.
I looked all over the net for a sign that wasn't over $20. Most are over $25. I'm on a busy corner & hope it won't get taken, but that's the chance you take.

(6,679 posts)I just started a thread where a local garden store is getting told about itself after putting up a Trump sign.
Same drive yesterday I saw some guy in a Jeep with a Trump/Pence sign that he'd taken red duck tape and added the NOT symbol over and covered the spare tire on the back of the Jeep with it. On top in cardboard he has "no way in hell".
It's encouraging to hear of these things all over.

(8,739 posts)I am 68. None of my fellow hippies would ever be a trump humper. Except maybe some that had a love for acid, and saw Jesus riding a unicorn, now are evilgelical looking for answers for what they saw.

(4,660 posts)Here's a video about it; I haven't watched it through yet.
EDIT: I watched it. It was apolitical. Dick said it was 2018. But now, today, there are Dump signs all over it. Not hippie. Just sad.

(8,739 posts)Very strange subspecies of hippies there. If Trump flags/signs are near, it would repeal hippies. Long hair, tats, weed and beer does not constitute a hippie. In the 60,s those would be the crew cut red necks that thought weed was satanic. After hippies started cutting their hair, red necks grew mullets, got piercings, and loved drugs. They evolved to meth and trumpism.
