120 degrees! wow... when I was living in Scottsdale AZ for about two years, the highest I remember was 119, but that's the desert. I wonder what it was in Blythe California...its always hot there!

We just got back from evacuation for a week due to fires.
Good times...

(41,829 posts)sorta like you feel in the dryer... I know about Humidity...as have been back east during the sweltering heat. IF you get 90 degrees and there is a ton of humidity, than its hard to breath and your body over heats very fast. Even drinking something cold, doesn't really help.
When I Lived in Arizona having A/C was a must. Every place had them that I looked at. So I was constantly paying for the A/C in summer and used it till winter time when it was a bit cooler.

(9,442 posts)It's cloudy but the color of the sun is probably due to the smoke in the atmosphere.

(41,829 posts)I spent I think it was about two to three years in Scottsdale and it was so nice there. I remember being surprised at the temperature being 99 degrees at midnight.. The one thing Arizona needed was an ocean and I missed the lady Pacific badly and had to come back to my home town because well ...it was home.
