(114,904 posts)Yes, they elected him gov, but deep blue states vote in repub governors pretty regularly- even though they're reliably blue in Presidential elections. In 2008, Vermont re-elected Jim Douglas but voted overwhelmingly (behind only D.C. and HI) for Obama for president.

IMO I don't think that matters much any more. State pride is not a big deal. But MA does know about Rmoney's personality.

(12,515 posts)The MSM keeps referring to MA as Romney's home state. It isn't, Michigan is. We have enough association with this dickhead without my home state being called his home state.

(13,908 posts)Governor and running for President. Many of my Independent friends in Mass won't vote for him and that is one of their reasons.
