A fallen soldier's dog tags finally come home 75 years after the Battle of the Bulge

Just another "sucker" and "loser" in Trump's opinion.

A fallen soldier's dog tags finally come home 75 years after the Battle of the Bulge

BELOIT, Ohio -- Pfc. Roger W. Taylor left his family's farm in the Beloit area 75 years ago for deployment to Europe during World War II.

He never came home.

But the dog tags he wore during his 22 months of Army service finally finished their journey back to his home town.

At an emotional ceremony Sunday afternoon at the Beloit Historical Society, Col. Matthew Woodruff of the Ohio Adjutant General's office presented the dog tags to Leland VanCamp, the historical society's president. (more at link)

My late uncle, who died just a couple of years ago, was in the Battle of the Bulge. He never talked about it. I guess he was a loser and a sucker, too.

I've loathed Trump with the fire of a thousand suns since he was elected, but this really tops everything.

... he flew helicopters in Vietnam and received the Distinguished Service Cross (or nation's 2nd-highest award for for extraordinary heroism.) He never spoke of the details, but was humble when he said that any one of his buddies would have done the same thing in his position.

I'm also very proud to be related to another loser and sucker.

the French Croix de Guerre for valor. He never talked about it but carried a large shrapnel scar on his neck for the rest of his life. Just another sucker.

Most of all, love of something beyond one’s self, a love that enlarges and expands the self.

These youngsters who take up arms in our name, they trust us to keep faith with them.

Trump shames us all past endurance.
