Romney aides add new curtains to campaign plane today. Separating his cabin and staff cabin from press. http://twitpic.com/axdgyg

Less than 20 minutes after she tweeted that pic, she tweeted that "Romney aides now say curtains won't be used."

Shunning in the Amish is done out of love to try to encourage the person to return to Amish ways. Mormons just always look down their noses at nonmormons - they are told they are superior and they never let you forget it.

Maybe Mitt should have given that a 2nd thought?

September 19, 2012
Guests: Cynthia Tucker, John Feehery, Chuck Schumer, Dana Milbank, Shira Toeplitz
CHRIS MATTHEWS, HARDBALL HOST: The Tin Man.
Let`s play HARDBALL.
Good evening. I`m Chris Matthews in sunny Philadelphia.
"Let Me Start" with this rare moment when you get to look behind the
curtain. Remember in "The Wizard of Oz," when we saw the man actually
doing the talking? Well, this is the week when we heard from the real
Willard of Oz, Mitt Romney. Pay no attention to the man behind the
curtain, we`re told, but how can we ignore the real Willard who says half
the country, the country he wants to run, is filled with beggars --
beggars, moochers, loafers, looters, people who don`t work, don`t want to
work, want the better-off half to give them breakfast in bed.
-snip-
Anyway, let`s take a look at that famous scene in "The Wizard of Oz"
when the curtain is pulled back and we see who`s calling the shots. Let`s
take a look.
-snip-
MATTHEWS: Howard, that is the way this thing strikes me for the first
time. We`ve all known that politicians have a secret life behind the
scenes where they talk frankly and oftentimes too candidly about what they
think of the voters who may be against them, the people on the other side
politically.
I think this is maybe the first time we`ve really gotten, you know, an
unscrubbed, uncleaned-up, uncosmetized look at Romney.
FINEMAN: Well, first let me say that that`s every reporter-to-be`s
favorite scene, when the curtain is pulled back. Cynthia would probably
agree with me. We love to see the curtains pulled back.

@GarrettNBCNews
In the 2 hours the press was off Romney plane in SD, a new curtain has been installed to separate the reporters from the staff section.
4:51 PM - 22 Sep 12
Then he retweeted a pic of the curtains with a description from LA Times reporter Seema Mehta:

(13,390 posts)and behavior not expected to be for public consumption. He might have done a little better pre-youtube and social media. But, he gets caught acting like a jerk because that's who he is and he still doesn't get that people will find out if he's not careful.
Obama either doesn't get caught or just doesn't act like a jerk at inopportune times- ever. His off script moments are usually charming. I love my pres, but am not naive enough to believe he's perfect. Joe gets into trouble occasionally, because he is still catching up to the modern self censorship requirements. But he's not a mean guy and will never be vulnerable to the kind of damning moments romney has.
OFA is totally synched with current technology and they have strong guards against mishaps and gotchas.
It's bad enough that there was DNA testing available in 98. Imagine candidate Clinton in today's world. I'm so glad that he preceded the tech revolution!
