(14,565 posts)Bureaucratic deflections are always going to prevail. I don't know how many examples are needed before that is acknowledged. Trump in particular has a lifetime of hiring fellow liars and cheaters. They are the last ones who are going to cower and squeal.
But the next time one of these is on the docket it will be the familiar absurdity of expecting a boxing match with the other guy sprawled on the canvas in tears.

(7,756 posts)this is about making Louie squirm...doing to him what the Gyms and Dougs do to our witnesses...grandstand..he's the bad guy..he destroyed the USPS as a gift to Trump...fix it or we're going to subpoena your ass...Louie's answers were irrelevant...he lies and he defends the indefensible...diminishing Louie and holding him accountable in the form of a question was pretty damn nice.

They held a hearing and interviewed 4 people.
It was extremely informative.
Mnuchin basically controls the USPS now.
None of that information came out.
