Rahm Emanuel lets his slip show. 'This will be the year of the Biden Republican,'

'Two things I would say if I was advising a Biden administration, one is no Green New Deal and two is no Medicare for All.'

The lack of support for a “Green New Deal” and “Medicare for All” in the Democratic platform helps the party balance between the desires of the moderate and more progressive members, Emanuel said on CNBC.

With a broad coalition of support that stretches from four-star generals to Black Lives Matter supporters, Biden can leverage his decades of governing experience in Washington to “culturally move them into a comfort zone,” he said.

“My view is you don’t want this to be a transactional election,” the former Chicago mayor said. “You want this to be the opportunity of a transformational election.”

Democrats, looking to capitalize on a fractured Republican Party, featured a string of video endorsements from prominent Republicans at their first virtual national convention that closed Thursday.

The party, however, is walking a thin line as it tries to satisfy its progressive wing that is looking for transformational policies.

With guaranteed healthcare not linked to employment, and good paying jobs that help fight climate change, Dems will retain the majority for decades.

They have until Spring 2022 before midterm anxieties weaken spines.

I heard he died when I was in a McDonalds drive through......just heard on my car radio that he had been killed in a plane crash. I was one car from ordering my fish sandwich for my Lenten lunch, and just burst into a crying jag.......I didn’t order, I just drove through because I was soooooooooooo upset. I loved Paul Wellstone, and I was living in Wisconsin at that time. I do live in MN now, but was just sick when he died.

Right now the objective is winning in November. The WH, and both houses of Congress

Can’t some of these people wait until after the election?

Biden will be listening to Harris, Warren, Booker, Inslee, not Kasich, Sasse or Romney.

If He fails to, he will have to deal with Sanders, AOC, Pressley, Omar, and a new batch of progressive freshman reps like Cori Bush.

Biden will have a once in a century opportunity to make transformative changes that will benefit Americans for generations, just like FDR did. The momentum is there, the openness is there, people are suffering, and they want relief, not neoliberal austerity.

Biden and Congress will have 12-18 months before midterm election cowardice starts to creep in.

We must hold their feet to the fire.

Emmanuel likes to hear himself talk- he’s an egotistical blowhard with nothing to contribute to the Biden campaign, the Democratic Party, or the healing of the soul of the nation.
