How big a role does Republican White Supremacy play in this election?

Republican white supremacy mixed with hatred of anyone not the same shade as mitt romney is rearing its ugly head.

We probably all know a few white racists, and a few people who hate black folks, brown folks, yellow folks, gay folks, female folks, old folks, crippled folks, and poor folks. My own aunt, who has gone to her heavenly reward recently, swore 4 years ago that, 'there'll never be a n****r in the white house', and I've heard others say it too.

Republicans are stuck with mittsie, even they hate him, but its him or the black guy, who is actually half black and half white but that's not good enough for them. mittsie romney, the white candidate. Restore whiteness and honor to the white house. romney, he's sort of believes in Jesus, Obama is a Muslim from who knows where?

How much of a role does plain old KKK type hate and fear play in this particular election?

How much does 'the white man's last stand' attitude play into it?

They hate 90% of Americans, but they hate the very idea of President Barack Obama mainly because of his skin color in my opinion, and they are tapping into that vast pool of republican voters who have a single issue to vote on, A WHITE SUPREMACIST AMERICA.

Its sad really, but the sins of America from the distant past are still haunting us to this day, the awful stain and suffering from slavery, the civil war, the terrible struggles through the civil rights movement, the fight for social equality for women, blacks, the disabled, homosexuals, and countless other groups that white supremacists have always done their best to hold down and oppress.

They know, the white supremacists that mathmatically, white supremacy is or will soon be a foggy memory, as the world's races and cultures meet one another and assimillate its bound to happen. America is and has always been the great melting pot of cultures and races and religions and freedoms, but the white supremacists feel entitled to it all and hate the idea of giving it up.

The white supremacists have all gone to the republican side. There are no white supremacist racists in the Democratic party, if they vote at all, they vote republican, even if they hate their current candidate, he's the white guy, and they can't see past that.

People boiling with hate, anger and resentment need to find a target, somebody to take it out on. It is human nature. Any identifiable group of minorities works just fine for that purpose. White Supremist is just a slightly more exotic variety of the plain-jane racist, lots of anger and hatred looking for somebody or some group to take it out on. No surprise that one of the strongest unifying threads that bind Republicans together is racism -- angry haters go Republican because that is the political party that validates their anger and points the long finger at the "guilty" parties that the anger and resentment/hatred should be taken out on -- the 47% for example.

I think Mutt's asset to the right is that he is so ambitious, so lusts after the presidency, that he is will to say or do A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G to get elected.

Now to the race issue. I firmly and unequivocally believe that the right wing masses are fundamentally antipathetic toward those not like them. I will avoid the word "racist" because broad brush uses of the word and the implication reduce its impact when applied to real racists.

When you look at the larger world, that antipathy exists in many ideological conflicts.

It's very odd.
For some it's not an overt hatred of blacks. It's just an ingrained disdain they were raised with and are unwilling or unable to shake.
"They are lesser beings than 'we' are."
For them it's a fact of life.

Some even have close relationships with blacks.
They usually begin as employer (white) - employee (black) 'business relationships which evolve into personal friendships. Not paternalistic, but as equals. At least socially.

How can I be friends with racists?
Because we have many other interests in common.
They just have a blind spot when it come to accepting 'others' as equals.
They want someone or thing to blame for what they see as 'wrong' with the nation.

I do what I can to change opinions.
Very subtly.
OK, got my asbestos pants on.
Have at it.
